The Dead Mule School of Southern Literature has published its National Poetry Month issue. South Carolina Poet Laureate, Marjory Wentworth, is but one of seventeen poets featured in this issue.

Atlas Poetica : A Journal of Poetry of Place in Modern English Tanka is open to submissions from 1 March to 30 May, 2009. We solicit individual tanka, tanka sequences and sets, tanka prose, review, articles, announcements, and anything else relating to tanka poetry of place in traditional or innovative forms. We regret that we cannot publish illustrated tanka. A complete set of guidelines is available online at: AtlasPoetica.com.
