Poets and Poems - Merrill Ann Gonzales

What a marvelous place to be
where the day falls away
in an easy walk
and the soul rushes over
every rock and weed
in its symphony
under the hawthorn tree!

Merry Christmas
GOD Bless us every one!

Lovely words and image, dear Merrill. The hawthorn tree in the photo is full of promise! It must be beautiful in Spring.

Hi, Terri, Bette, Kirsty and Carole... You complete my joy. The poem came to me in a overwhelming flow of words and I had to write fast to get it all down just as it came.
The tree spoke instantly to me and since has spoken to others as only a symbol can sometimes...to reach things deep within us that words seem to fail.
I have never seeen the tree in Spring, but if I get a chance I will certainly try to photograph it.
Many thanks for your kind words. Merrill
